It was a tricky job designing this 22m high scaffold for this funnel at an industrial site in New Zealand. The scaffold used tilting jacks to fit precisely within the steeply sloping walls of the funnel, and was totally supported on a 1.09m base scaffold on the ground. Design input came from Tom Fyfe of the Layher Design Team.
The mid section of the scaffold was built on the ground and craned onto the base scaffold. Rigid wedge couplers which were used to fix the second tower to the primary tower, and clampable rosettes enabled work platforms to be inserted at any level.
