This gas fired power station in New Plymouth, New Zealand, is being decommissioned due to asbestos. KAEFER Integrated Services, who were contracted to do the scaffolding, were confronted with a spaghetti of pipes. The solution? One of the more complicated scaffolds we have seen in a long time, using over 200 tonne of gear.
"The use of the Layher system proved more flexible than other systems and aided productivity considering that we were confronted with a maze of pipe work from ground to roof," said Paul Worrall, KAEFER Manager, Eastern States and New Zealand.
