Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge asked Euro Scaffolds to construct a bridge over State Highway 1 to enable the mountain bikers to return to their finish line. Last year the 300 or so riders racing to the finish had to negotiate their way through the traffic at the main round-about in town.
The bridge was built the day before the event with the centre section craned in at 5.30am. Despite initial beliefs that the road would need to be closed for some time, this operation took less than 2 minutes with minimum delay to traffic.
