Camelspace were called upon to provide propping on the Manukau Harbour Crossing project in Auckland for the Beachcroft Road over-bridge. They chose Layher Allround for their solution as it not only provided the loadings required but also the ability to build the stair access, working platforms and edge protection all off the same structure.
Susan Temple, Layher's senior engineer, based the initial design upon preliminary information then amended it close to erection to account for site conditions. Layher worked closely with Camelspace to utilise their existing stock where possible, producing an efficient design incorporating pour sequences, ground conditions and access requirements.
