Upright Access have an ongoing project inside the live switch yard that governs all the power
coming into Auckland, New Zealand. Layher Allround scaffolding and Keder sheeting are being
used for this project. Due to the very strict safety guidelines, uplift was prevented by ties and
concrete blocks on every other standard on both sides.
"They are installing cabling up to new poles and required fully encapsulated structures 10m long
4.5m wide and 8m & 12m high," said Mick Curran, Director of Upright Access. "The main problem
was working so close to the high power lines but we managed to erect them with minimal
disruptions."
