The Victoria Park Tunnel project joined forces with Camelspace to help move the historic Rob Roy Hotel in Auckland. The hotel is a two-storey unreinforced masonry structure built in 1885-86 and lies in the path of the three lane motorway tunnel. The project is being delivered by the Victoria Park Alliance, comprising the NZTA, Fletcher Construction, Beca Infrastructure, Higgins, and Parsons Brinkerhoff.
Camelspace erected Layher Scaffolding around the perimeter of the 124 year old brick building allowing easy access for engineers to carry out strengthening work prior to the structure being moved.
