Brisbane River Suspended Scaffold

Benchmark Scaffolding took on the challenge of suspending a scaffold over a 26m span between two timber headstocks to provide access for blast and paint repairs on an active fuel line in the Brisbane River. No connection to the pipe was permitted due to its age and condition. All loads had to be transferred into the headstocks, which had their own structural issues. Read more

MI Scaffold were engaged to install a full internal scaffold in a digester tank for weld-seam inspection and repair. Layher recently was invited to attend the HiSkill training facility in WA to observe and audit the delivery of HiSkill’s Layher Allround Skills Training course. This was a 3-day event attended by 8 scaffolders with different levels of experience in the use of the Layher Allround scaffolding system. Read more

Waterproofing gantry

Lend Lease is currently undertaking the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale Pacific Highway project in New South Wales. This project involves the construction of twin 400m long tunnels under St Helena Hill. Layher ALLROUND was selected to be used as a mobile gantry to allow the installation of the waterproofing in the inside of the tunnel. Read more

Suspended animation

Celtic Scaffolding provided a more efficient and cost effective solution for access to this tank by building a mobile Layher scaffold rather than scaffolding the entire tank as had been done previously. First a mobile scaffold was built outside of the tank and then craned in. This inner tank mobile scaffold was then attached to an outer tank mobile scaffold which was counter weighted. Read more
