Art After Dark festival
Presented by Federation Square in Melbourne, the Art After Dark festival included the Constellations audio-visual installation by the artist Joanie Lemercier. Projecting light through water particles, he created a mesmerising display that he had never before presented in Australia. Read more
St Ignatius Church Spire
In 1927, the 60 year project to construct St Ignatius Church in Richmond came to a conclusion. This is the first refurbishment work to be conducted on the spire of this fine heritage building, and it was no surprise to see Scaff-Co awarded with the scaffolding contract. Read more
Level Crossing Removal – Public Access
APS successfully secured this project to provide a 13.5m, 5kPa temporary footbridge in support of the major programme presently underway in Melbourne to remove railway level crossings. Read more
Glenroy Railway Station
As part of Melbourne’s level crossing removal programme, Stilcon Scaffolding successfully secured the Glenroy Railway Station contract to provide public access stairways, and a 2.57m wide overpass spanning 16.5m between the platforms. Read more
A Combination of Structural and Natural Beauty
Insta Group have recently undertaken a series of repair and refurbishment projects in Victoria where a versatile approach was a prerequisite. Insta Group’s use of their Layher Allround scaffolding certainly met this requirement. Working closely with Insta Group, Layher’s technical team produced a design to overcome the challenges presented by the circular shape of this lighthouse. Read more

Stair tower and dome-access St Marys Church
The unique capabilities of Layher’s Allround System have delivered another outstanding solution. Scaff-Co Pty Ltd were appointed to design and install a craneable scaffold stairway tower and working platform to provide access for the maintenance work atop the dome at the St Mary’s church in Bairnsdale, Victoria. Footscray footbridge
The Allround bridging system has been used to create two 18m long pedestrian walkways over rail lines in Melbourne. The pre-assembled bridges were elevated into the exact positions using a crane. Read more
